GROSVENOR Garden Centre is celebrating after scooping a host of prestigious awards this month.

The centre was awarded the Gold Award after winning the Best Use of Space category at the Garden Retail Awards 2007.

During a glitzy ceremony in London, judges were impressed by the centre’s outdoor area, including the monthly farmers’ market and hugely popular in-store vegetable garden.

Grosvenor’s vegetable garden was introduced early this year to help budding gardeners grow their own vegetables throughout the seasons.

The garden centre’s own expert gardeners have been on hand to offer customers advice and help on the best times to plant certain vegetables and how to care for them.

The Farmers’ Market has also been a success with visitors increasing every month to enjoy a taste of some fabulous local produce.

Judges at the Garden Retail Awards felt the market and vegetable garden had demonstrated the most interesting and vibrant use of space, ensuring they collected the sought after Gold award.Š

The honour comes just a few days after Grosvenor were given a silver award in the Best Retail Marketing category at Britain’s Best Retailer Awards 2007.

This month, Grosvenor’s lifestyle and seasonal team also picked up an award when their display was announced Taylors Bulbs Best Bulb Display in the UK 2007.

Iain Wylie, managing director of Grosvenor Garden Centre, said: “We are thrilled to be recognised within the industry and these awards are a testament to the hard work of the team here at Grosvenor.’’
