HOURS after his 4am start Graham Evans says he is working flat out across the constituency and has seen no sign of his Weaver Vale opposition.

The former Cheshire policeman, 45, a manager in sales and marketing, said: “It’s still positive.

“If we win Weaver Wale we are in Government.

“I’ve not seen any sign of the opposition at the polling stations and I’ve visited two thirds so far today, Northwich, Hartford, Weaverham, Frodsham and Helsby.

“I don’t know what they are up to.”

Asked if he had any received any indication if the Conservatives could win the seat he added: “It’s going to be too close to call.

“We are working flat out.”

With news that voters are being turned away from polling stations in the City of Chester constituency because they weren’t registered, Mr Evans said: “I can echo that. The postal votes have been a fiasco in Cheshire West and Chester and loads of people haven’t received them.”
