A COUPLE who met at a dance in Winsford 56 years ago gathered their family around them for a golden wedding celebration to remember on Sunday.
Antony and Margaret Morley of Station Road, Winsford, celebrated the big day in style at a glittering bash in The Fourways Inn, Delamere.
Guests included their three sons and five grandchildren.
'We have had a wonderful marriage and we just wanted everyone to be there to share in our happiness,' said Margaret.
The couple started going out together after meeting at a dance at the old Strand Ballroom in Winsford and married six years later at St Michael And All Angels Church in Middlewich.
A year after they moved to Station Road and have lived in the same house ever since.
A painter and decorator by trade Mr Morley spent three years in the RAF doing national service. He then went to work at RHM, Middlewich, until retirement.
His wife worked for years as a machinist at the Lilleyworks in Middlewich and also spent several years helping out at Winsford Stroke Club.
