Hundreds of people in Chester and the surrounding areas have been taking part in sporting events in support of this year's Sport Relief .

Pupils and staff at Dee Point Primary School in Blacon raised an amazing £502 during thier hoopathon day.

Queen's Park High School held a lunchtime bootcamp event in the hall with donation buckets for students who wanted to either watch or take part.

Pupils at St Oswald's CE Primary School in Mollington started their day with a special rendition of the Deep Purple classic , Smoke on the Water, before embarking on a day of skipping activities which raised £191.87.

Runners of all ages took part in the Sport Relief Mile which set off from the Helsby Community Sports Club.

This year's Sport Relief has raised an amazing £55million so far, beating the previous record of £51m.
