Police have promised to crack down on drug-related activity in Frodsham following the arrest of two youths in the town.

Officers raided an address on Main Street in Frodsham and arrested an 18-year-old man and a young female after finding a quantity of controlled drugs and cash.

The pair were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug, possession with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug on Thursday, April 17.

Sgt Dave Goodwin from the Western Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This action highlights Cheshire police’s continued commitment to targeting those involved in the illegal possession and supply of drugs in the Frodsham area.

“This raid is the result of a significant amount of time spent by local officers investigating the use and supply of controlled drugs in the area.

“It is a fine example of officers acting swiftly on intelligence supplied to us by the local community.

“Such criminal activity has a negative effect on our community which will not be tolerated and those involved in such criminality will be robustly dealt with by police.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for their continued support and stress that if you are aware of drugs crime in your area let us know and we will take positive action and help you to improve our community.”
