LA Fitness will open its doors on Saturday to attempt to break a world record.
The fitness team at the Wrexham Road gym is hoping to beat the record for the largest Zumba class by running a simultaneous 30 minute class in clubs across the UK at 1pm on Saturday, July 7.
Marketing director Tony Orme said: “Zumba is really popular amongst our members and it’s a perfect example of what we believe motivates people most – making fitness fun.
“It’s a tall order to break the record and we hope a free class and the chance to get in the record books will encourage people to come down and join in the fun”
Zumba is a Colombian dance fitness programme.
