TWO former University of Chester students are exhibiting art work in a city church.

The exhibition, entitled The Conversation, is curated by Estelle Woolley, 24, and Caroline Backhouse, 22.

Staff, students and graduates who are connected to the university’s department of art and design are presenting work in a wide range of themes and different media areas including painting, installation, photography and performance.

The exhibition is being be held at Christ Church in Newtown.

Caroline and Estelle, who both work extensively within the local community, have been given the use of Christ Church as their studio space.

They said: “The opportunity we have been given to work in this sacred and unconventional space has not only enhanced and inspired our working practice, but we also hope it will help raise awareness of the diverse range of visual arts and help unite the local community.”

The Conversation previews to the public on Monday, November 1 from 4-7pm and is open daily 10am-4pm until November 6.
