A DANCER from Nomansheath and her partner are relying on Cheshire votes after they made it through to the live shows of Britain’s Got Talent.

Former Bishop Heber High School pupil Chloe Hewitt and her partner AJ Pritchard, of Burleydam, Nantwich, wowed the nation and the judges on the ITV talent show a month ago with their sizzling Latin routine.

And on Sunday night, viewers watched as judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams put the pair through to the semi-finals along with 44 others.

Part-time beauty therapist Chloe, 17, and 18-year-old photography student AJ now hope to stun the voting public with a never-before-seen routine in their semi-final on Friday, May 31.

Chloe told the Chronicle the routine will be their most ambitious yet with a string of daring lifts.

She said: “As soon as we found out we were through we were straight back in the studio to get a routine together and we’ve been going over it ever since.

“Doing the lifts was nerve-wracking to start with as we’ve never really done them before, but now we’re used to them. AJ hasn’t dropped me yet!”

For AJ and Chloe, watching Sunday’s show as the acts were put through was a more relaxed affair.

On their first show, they missed the TV screening and had to watch it back on AJ’s mobile phone in a London layby.

But this time the current Under-21 British National Latin champions and the Under-21 UK Closed Latin champions took a break from competing in the British Open in Blackpool to catch the show with family and friends.

“Watching it was weird, you don’t realise how your reaction’s going to come over on TV,” said Chloe. “I had shivers down my spine thinking about how I felt when we found out.”

And she admitted they had an inkling they’d be through when they were grouped for the announcement with other strong acts.

She said: “It was an amazing feeling. When you’re put into groups, you’re looking at who’s in yours and thinking ‘if they’re good maybe we’ll get a chance’. Now we just need everyone to vote for us.”

AJ and Chloe’s performance will be during Friday’s live semi-final from on ITV from 7.30pm.
