FIRST CLASS: Reception pupils from Utkinton St Paul’s CE Primary School

A VISIT from Tinkerbell helped reception class pupils at Utkinton St Paul’s CE Primary School find Peter Pan’s shadow in the school playground.

The four youngsters in Natalie Wharton’s class share their teacher with pupils in Years 1 and 2.

Inspired by Eileen Browne’s book Handa’s Surprise the children recently tasted tropical fruits including mango and pineapple which Mrs Wharton said they liked very much.

Following the tasty treats the children are now looking at tongue twisters for a poetry project with extra help from teaching assistant Dawn Davies and student teacher Becky Stewart.

Next week’s First Class photographs will be from Dee Point Primary School.
