A firework went through the window of a ground floor flat in Ellesmere Port on Thursday night (November 5).
Crews were called to the incident on Percival Road at 10.28pm.
While there was no fire, a large fan had had to be used to clear smoke from the property.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said that the matter has been handed over to police .
