A FAMILY have paid tribute to a father killed riding his motorcycle near the Greyhound Retail Park.

Clifton Johnson, 51, from Chester died in a road traffic collision on Sealand Road, Chester on Sunday, July 4.

His black Honda motorbike collided with a blue Ford Focus at the busy crossroads.

Floral tributes now mark the spot where Mr Johnson was thrown into the railings.

His family have released a statement which reads: “Cliff was a loving happy man, who was forever smiling. He brought a lot of warmth to the people who's life he touched.

“He was a family man and a tower of strength and support to those around him. A long time employee of Kwik-fit. He will be greatly missed.”

Cheshire Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or any driving/riding prior to the incident to make contact with Chester Roads Policing Unit on 01244 613163.
