A Chester family will be dashing around the streets of Chester in Christmas costumes during the first weekend in December.

Kirsty Lowe with daughters Olivia, nine, Verity, five and baby son, Joseph are determined to dash around the city in this year’s Chester Santa Dash in aid of the Countess of Chester Babygrow Appeal and The Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

Joseph was born in December last year and needed treatment on the neonatal unit at Countess of Chester hospital.

The Santa Dash takes place on the weekend closest to his first birthday so the family decided it would be a good fun and a great way to support the Babygrow Appeal.

Christmas Day

Santa is coming in

Kirsty who works at The Heath School in Runcorn said: “When the girls heard about the Santa Dash they were very excited about it and wanted to take part, it’s a lovely way to mark Joseph’s first birthday and nice to think that playing our small part will help improve facilities for families in the future when they have a new baby needing extra support.”

Olivia, a pupil at The King’s Junior School, Chester and Verity, a pupil at Saighton Church of England Primary School said: “We are looking forward to running in the Santa Dash in our costumes and hope we can raise lots of money for the Babygrow appeal, we are going to ask everyone we know to sponsor us.”
