A family ended up in hospital after their car collided with a HGV tractor in Tarporley.

Emergency services were called to Tarporley Road near Duddon at 7.50am on Sunday, September 1 following the smash.

The 40-year-old man, 35-year-old woman and  ten-year-old child who were travelling in the Citroen were taken to hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.

The driver of the HGV was not hurt.

Police closed off the road at the Headless Woman pub and Tarporley roundabout to  allow scene examination to take place.

Any witnesses are asked to call Cheshire  Police on 101 quoting incident 262 1.9.13
