Pupils have been praised for their hard work and determination as Helsby High School celebrated a year of excellent GCSE results.
No fewer than 86% of all students at the school achieved a minimum of five A*-C GCSE grades, with almost 99% achieving at least one A*-C grade.
And 76% of the Year 11 pupils achieved five A*-C grades including maths and English, which is the highest total in the school’s history.
Headteacher John Dowler praised the students for their hard work and thanked the parents for their support, saying: “We are delighted that the hard work of our young people has resulted in such an excellent set of GCSE results.
“Students of all talents and abilities have done extremely well. We would like to say thank you for all the support given by the students’ families but most of all we would like to say well done to our students.”
