IF YOU'RE planning to tie the knot this year, make sure you get along to a special three-day show at Manchester's GMEX centre.

The venue is hosting the National Wedding Show from February 6-8 and dozens of attractions are promised to help you prepare for your big day.

From bridal dresses to grooms-wear, accessories to flowers, photography to fireworks, stationery to favours, music to champagne, cakes to cars and honeymoons to gift lists - the show will provide a fantastic stress-free shopping experience for everyone involved in planning the wedding day.

The show will feature four stylish catwalk fashion shows a day, illustrating a range of styles, prices and trends for all the wedding party, including lingerie and accessories. A dedicated champagne bar will run alongside the cat-walk.

The opening hours are 10am-5pm each day. Prices start at £6.50 on Friday, February 6, £8.50 on Saturday and Sunday, February 7-8, with group party tickets (maximum four people) at £20 on Friday and £30 on Saturday or Sunday.

A key attraction at the show will be How to Look Good On Your Wedding Day - a live makeover area for brides-to-be.

This will be hosted by Caryn Franklin, best known from the BBC's Clothes Show and now a regular contributor to GMTV and This Morning.

Caryn will work alongside a team of experts including make-up artist Ariane Poole and hairstylist Errol Douglas.

Ariane is one of the UK's leading make-up gurus who has worked with many of the world's most beautiful women, including Penelope Cruz, Uma Thurman and Elizabeth Hurley.

Errol is one of the UK's top hair-stylists. He has been nominated seven times for British Hairdresser of the Year and won Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year 2003. Clients at his Belgravia salon include Lady Helen Taylor, Dannii Minogue and Holly Valance.

How To Look Good On Your Wed-ding Day will take place three times a day, offering brides-to-be expert advice and insight with hair demonstrations, makeovers and advice sessions.

More than 250 companies are already confirmed to attend the three-day event, including celebrity cake designer Savoir Design, confectioner Swizzles Matlow, British Airways Holidays, wedding list company The Gift Registry, retailer Austin Reed and The Bahamas Tourist Board.

Tickets can be booked by calling 0870 730 0064 or visiting www.nationalweddingshow.co.uk. Visitors who pre-book their tickets qualify for a free CD of wedding music.
