Police have charged a 51-year-old man following a stabbing in Ellesmere Port.

Lee Hewitt, from Little Sutton, has been charged with actual body harm and has been remanded in custody.

The charge relates to an incident on Friday, December 9, at 6.45pm at an address in Acre Road, Great Sutton.

Officers attended the scene to find a 40-year-old man with serious injuries and he was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital. He has since been discharged.
