An Ellesmere Port kebab house is in line for one of the industry’s top gongs in the British Kebab Awards.

Ellesmere Port Kebab in Regent St has been shortlisted in the Best Takeaway Outside London category.

Voting closes on March 10 and votes can be cast on the British Kebab Awards website at www.britishkebabawards.co.uk .

Kebabs are now a British institution with an estimated 1.3m sold every day. Categories in the British Kebab Awards range from Best Takeaway to Best Restaurant and even Best Fine Dining experience.

A judging panel including MPs Nadhim Zahawi and Keith Vaz will decide the winners in each category at a VIP-studded ceremony on March 23 at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.
