A couple will be able to celebrate their wedding anniversary in style after scooping a fantastic prize at The Port Arcades.
The Valentine’s Day prize draw competition, which ran in the shopping centre and on Facebook, saw almost 200 people apply.
Lucky winner Sheila Rhodes of Malvern Avenue, Ellesmere Port, carried off the pampering prize of a one night stay for two people at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Hoole Village, Chester just a few minutes along the M53.
The prize includes accommodation in a superior room, wine and chocolates on arrival, a meal for two at the hotel’s Marco Pierre White restaurant, full use of the spa facilities and a massage and mud Rasul treatments.
It came at just the right time for Sheila who celebrates her 27th wedding anniversary in April and plans to share the prize with her husband Tony.
Sheila decided to apply after noticing the competition post box and seeing the posters in the centre.
A delighted Sheila was presented with her prize by an equally delighted Les Lyon, The Port Arcades Shopping Centre manager.
“We are so pleased that Sheila and Tony will be able to celebrate their anniversary in great style thanks to winning our competition,” he said.
“The response from our shoppers was tremendous and just goes to prove how romantic they all are!”
