The count has begun for votes cast in the General Election 2015 and results from Cheshire West and Chester constituencies are not likely to be announced until about 3.30am.

Chief reporter David Holmes is at the Northgate Arena to witness who will win the highly contested City of Chester seat out of the four candidates - Stephen Ingram (Ukip), Chris Matheson (Lab), Stephen Mosley (Con) and Bob Thompson (Lib Dem).

Carmella De Lucia is at the Eddisbury count at Winsford Lifestyle Centre where police officers have arrived to oversee proceedings.

Over in Northwich for the Weaver Vale count is Frances Barrett who is likely to be up until at least 4.30am awaiting the outcome of the borough's most marginal seat.

Reporter David Norbury is at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall to witness who will take over the seat from veteran Labour MP Andrew Miller, who announced last year that he was standing down from parliament.
