EDDISBURY’S Liberal Democrat candidate Bob Thompson predicts it will be a good turn out.
Mr Thompson has already been to polling stations in Winsford, Tarporley, Tarvin, Ashton Hayes and Dunham on the Hill and reports that turn out has been good so far.
He said: “All polling stations in the consistency say they have had a steady turn out with the occasional wave or rush of people.
“ It just goes to show what Nick Clegg has done for politics, he has made it more interesting.”
This afternoon Mr Thompson has been door knocking and telephoning constituents to encourage them to go out and vote.
He said: “It still surprises me even though I have been doing this for a while that some people don’t even realise the election is going on or that it is election day.
“Despite this the majority of people I have spoken to today say they will go out and vote.
“On the whole I am extremely pleased with how today has gone.”
