POLICE have raided three more homes in Northwich, seizing drug paraphernalia and issuing cautions for drugs offences.

Northwich Investigation Team (IT) officers are stepping up the use of search warrants as part of their ongoing campaign against drug abuse in the town.

The search warrants carried out last week were executed at properties in central North-wich and Rudheath after information from members of the public.

DC Dave Christmas said: 'The efforts we make to deal with people suspected of being involved in the drug network are not one-off, short-term measures. Drugs offences are always a priority issue which we take very seriously. Those who are involved in the drugs network can expect to have dealings with us.

'I'm confident the search warrants are helping deliver that message to the handful of

offenders we suspect of committing drug-related offences. Hopefully, the majority of law-abiding residents are also getting the message that we are committed to taking drugs off the streets and we will do all we can to achieve that.'

Sgt Gavin Day added: 'Sup-port from residents is playing a massive role in the campaign to reduce drug problems and helping us get to the root of the issues which are having a negative impact on the quality of life in a neighbourhood.'
