A HALTON man has been jailed after pleading guilty to dealing class A drugs.

Johnathan Waring, 28, pictured, was sentenced to 21 months in prison at Warrington Crown Court.

His accomplice, Phillip Lane, 29, of Gaywood Green, Liverpool, received a 14-month jail term.

The pair were arrested in a series of dawn raids in Runcorn and Widnes in July, codenamed Operation Crackdown.

The operation involved 300 officers swooping on 30 houses in Runcorn, Widnes, Warrington and Liverpool, after months of intelligence gathering and tip-offs from the public.

The pair were among 20 people arrested and charged with a range of drug-related offences.

Waring, of Brookdale, Widnes, pleaded guilty at an earlier appearance before Runcorn magistrates to 10 counts of supplying Class A drugs while Lane admitted two counts of supplying class A drugs.
