Traffic has cleared after drivers were caught up in delays near Chester due to a crash involving a coach and a lorry on the A55.

Long queues had formed after the accident between junctions 33A and 33B at Ewloe at about 11am on Bank Holiday Monday (May 30).

Nobody was injured in the crash and all lanes on the A55 have now been reopened.

Tailbacks spilled onto the A494 and stretched almost as far back as the border into Cheshire.

Traffic also had to be diverted single file through a service station in attempt to free up some of the queues.

North Wales Police had warned motorists to try and avoid the area if possible and there may still be some delays in the area.
