Drivers are advised to steer clear of the M6 in Cheshire this afternoon (Monday, May 9) following a collision between two HGVs.
The road is currently closed northbound between junctions 19 and 20 at Knutsford as officers from Cheshire roads policing team deal with the incident, along with colleagues from Highways England.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Services and North West Ambulance Service are currently on route to the scene
Local diversions are currently in place, although motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 358 of 9/5/2016.
