Final remnants of a popular Chester pub were knocked down on day four of its demolition.

The Ship Victory in George Street is making way for the new Gorse Stacks bus exchange.

Last evidence of the ale house was removed on Thursday (November 5) after a crew first arrived on Monday to start pulling it down .

The same orange digger has returned each day to steadily strip The Ship away.

More than 250 people signed a petition to try to save the pub, which had served locals since the 1800s, back in February.
