POLICE are at the scene of a collision involving an HGV on the A55 southerly bypass near Eccleston.
The collision was reported at 10.30am on Tuesday, May 22 and the carriageway is now closed to allow examination of the scene and access for emergency services.
The driver of the HGV has been taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Cheshire police on 101 quoting incident 266 of May 22.
