A BEAUTIFUL exhibition of photography at Norton Priory this summer creates a stunning visual interpretation of its history and its surrounding gardens.

Drawing inspiration from the themes of 'Light' and 'Time', photographer David Heke exhibits a range of work created in the museum, among the ruins and in the grounds.

The exhibition includes evocative views of the mediæval undercroft, Victorian summerhouse and the archæological remains, alongside images that capture the unique nature of the museum's collections, focusing on the fascinating stone heads that decorated parts of the mediæval priory buildings.

David, a fine art and commercial photographer based in Chester, said: 'Through these photographic images I have tried to interpret how light and time seem bound together in the past, present and future life of Norton Priory.'

The exhibition continues until September 11, and the museum is open from noon-5pm weekdays and until 6pm at weekends.
