Darts teams from Westminster Park have raised cash for the Countess of Chester Hospital.

The Westminster Wasps and Super League teams raised funds for the Haematology and Oncology Fund.

The teams raised the money in memory of their friend, team mate and club treasurer Fred Wright and the trophy was won by Dave Roberts who entered the competition with just an hour to spare.

The event raised £1,320 which was boosted with Richard Argyle having his head shaved and Jamie Holmes undergoing a chest wax, bringing the fundraising total to £5,266.80.

Richard, Jamie and Dave accompanied Fred’s wife Carol to the hospital to meet the staff and show off the Fred Wright darts trophy.
