PUPILS had sticks of dynamite at a hockey tournament held at a local high school.

Cuddington Primary School scored twelve goals without any conceded as they lifted the winners trophy at Weaverham High School last week.

The squad of 12 Year 5 and 6 pupils whitewashed each of their five opponents with every member playing their part.

Headteacher Yvonne Elliott said: “Cuddington has a long tradition of playing hockey well and developing skilful players and this year is no exception.

“Mrs Austin, who accompanied the children, was very proud of all the players and deserved their success.”
