A 26-year-old motorcyclist from Cuddington has been killed in a crash in Runcorn.
An arrest has also been made in connection with the incident after emergency services were alerted at 8.30pm on Monday (August 3).
The rider suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
Cheshire Police believe he lost control of his black Suzuki GSF 1200 on the left hand bend on the slip road connecting Boston Avenue and the Central Expressway.
A 26-year-old from Runcorn was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed pending further enquiries.
An investigation has been launched and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A spokeswoman said: “Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a white Ford Focus RS in the Boston Avenue and Central Expressway area around the time of the incident.
“They are also keen to trace the occupants of a Mitsubishi that was travelling from Boston Avenue up the link road shortly before the incident.”
