There may have been divided opinion about the attraction of it, but there was still a healthy turnout to the Coca Cola truck when it spent the day in Chester today (Thursday December 3).

The occasion got off to a steady start but as the day wore on, more and more people braved the crowds and queued to have their picture taken in front of the iconic vehicle.

Coca Cola staff were quick and efficient in controlling the crowds, and queues only lasted around 10 minutes.

The Coca Cola festive gospel choir were troupers who entertained the crowds all day with a host of seasonal songs, and of course their signature song 'Holidays are Coming'.

"We've been looking forward to this all week," one woman in the crowd said, who had been queuing with her children for a picture. "The truck just looks so lovely with all the lights. The kids love it."

Elsewhere, staff were handing out free cans of Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Life and Coke Zero to passers by, and Elfie, the CH1ChesterBID mascot was on hand for people to have selfies with.

The truck will be on Eastgate Street until 8pm tonight before its next stop tomorrow in Liverpool.
