Firefighters came to the rescue of a cow which had been stuck in mud for more than 24 hours on Fishpool Road in Delamere.
The animal finally came unstuck on Thursday morning (June 11).
A crew from Winsford, as well as the animal rescue unit based at Bollington, were able to extract it from the mud with the aid of the owner's tractor.
A spokesman for Cheshire and Fire Rescue Service said a vet was asked to attend to check on the cow's welfare.
