A NURSE is being investigated after allegedly posting a Facebook message which jokes about the euthanasia of the elderly.

Kelsey Adderton, an A&E nurse at the Countess of Chester Hospital, is under investigation by the Nursing and Midwifery Council after ‘Kelsey’s manifesto’ was drawn to the attention of NHS bosses.

The Facebook page has since been removed.

Ms Adderton, of Larchdale Close, Ellesmere Port, does not wish to comment.

The manifesto says euthanasia would be performed by medical staff on patients who don’t cut their toenails and by family members if ‘candidates’ met three of the following criteria within a 72 hour period:

Wet themselves

Pay for things with unacceptable amounts of small change

Talk about the past

Insist on drinking tea in a cup with a saucer.

The Facebook page jokes that the death penalty should be reintroduced for ‘paedophiles and gingers (Prince Harry exempt)’, Jeremy Kyle guests and Big Brother contestants.

The hospital has confirmed an investigation is taking place.
