Motorists heading eastbound on the M56 face disruption this Thursday morning rush hour (November 5).
A lane has been closed on entry slip road at junction 11 for Preston Brook, following a collision between a jack-knifed lorry and a car shortly after 7am.
A police spokeswoman said one man has been taken to Warrington Hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.
Traffic is slow heading in that direction.
