A WORN down Lache road is to undergo a £100,000 resurfacing job next year.

Cliveden Road, which links Hough Green with Circular Drive, is to have new tarmac put in as part of a phased operation next year.

Sue Begley, highways engineer for the Chester area, told last Thursday’s Lache community forum: “This coming financial year we will be doing Cliveden Road, which is one of the priority roads we have got on our list as needing resurfacing.

“The works will start around March and will be done as three separate schemes.

“The speed bumps will be repaired and replaced. They are safe now, even with the cracks, they just don’t look very nice.”
