Churches Together in Christleton have handed over the latest proceeds from their fundraising activities to a good cause.

The group runs village teas during the summer months, organised and run by members and friends of the three churches, St James, the Methodist Church, and representatives from St Werburgh’s who worship at the Mass Centre in Rowton.

At the final session for summer 2015, a cheque for £2,000 was presented to Dr Susie Mitchell, a Cheshire volunteer for Starlight, this year’s charity chosen as recipient for proceeds from the teas.

Starlight for Children Foundation grants wishes to seriously or terminally ill children and works with hospitals and hospices.
