A CITY church held its first ever Christmas Tree festival.
The gaily decorated forest was organised at Hamilton Street Methodist church in Hoole by John and Angela Evans and Alison Nolan in aid of local charities.
Trees decorated by various local groups and church users, as well as a tree of remembrance, were on display. Admission to the festival was free and a craft stall offered people the chance to solve some of their Christmas present problems.
