CHRISTLETON Primary School has been having a ball with two of its sporting teams netting success in tournaments.

The school’s basketball side had the biggest reason to cheer as the players emerged as county champions.

The team, which consisted of Alex Gore Rees, Oliver Trollope, Arran Brearey, James Day, Beth Layder, Harry Corley and Max Freeman, won the county final in Warrington 8-7 against Childer Thornton, having been 4-0 down, to become Primary School County Champions.

The netball squad has also given the school plenty to be pleased about as players took silver in the county finals, just losing out 7-3 to gold winners Broomfield having been level at half time.
