Alternative routes have been advised

Home Fires, filmed in Bunbury, has been a huge success for ITV

Roads will be closed near the Cholmondeley Estate on Monday (November 9) due to the filming of ITV drama Home Fires.

Cheshire East Council have issued a notice temporarily preventing traffic on Bickerton Hall Road, Nantwich, advising alternative routes which could cause traffic disruption in the area.

The alternative routes motorists are advised to use are:

Bickerton Hall Road C510

Long Lane C510/C813

Sandy Lane A534

Whitchurch Road A49

Wrexham Road A534

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times and access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible, say the council.

FIlming for the second series of the popular wartime drama has already been under way in both Tarporley and Chester city centre.

The show, about a group of inspirational women bringing their rural village together during World War Two, has been a ratings success for ITV with an average 6.2m viewers and a 24% audience share on Sunday evenings.
