THE action-packed annual Cholmondeley Pageant of Power event will return in 2012 – a month earlier than usual.

Organisers of the hugely successful motor show have confirmed that next year’s pageant will take place from Friday, June 15 to Sunday, June 17, instead of its usual July slot.

This is due to previous events being considerably wetter in July than in June.

Hundreds of petrolheads flocked to the Cholmondeley Estate for this year’s extravaganza of the world’s finest machinery.

Next year will be the event’s fifth year and features a range of new displays on land, water and in the air, as well as a theme for the motoring content and a series of mini-events in the build-up to the pageant.

James Hall, the pageant’s event director, said that the show continues to get ‘better’ each year.

“Every pageant has been a remarkable success and we’ve seen year-on year increases in visitor numbers, sponsors, exhibitors and the number of displays and attractions,” he explained.

“This year we also added an additional day to pack it all in.”
