MP Edward Timpson, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Education and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children and Families, visited the Firs School in Chester to talk to pupils about his work as a Member of Parliament.

The MP for Crewe and Nantwich, who was recently voted ‘Minister of the Year’ by his peers, was able to spend some time in front of Year 6 where he also took ‘questions from the class’ rather than The House!

Mr Timpson said: “Year 6 at The Firs asked some really important and incisive questions about my life at Westminster which showed a real maturity for their age. It was almost like being at Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons!”
