CHESTER’S emergency services will be putting on their football boots this weekend for a one-off charity match to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Teams made up of staff from North West Ambulance Service and Cheshire Police will be playing at Chester FC’s Exacta Stadium, Bumper's Lane, Sealand, on Sunday (May 22) at 2pm.

As well as the football there will be half time enter- tainment from young singer Megan Broadhurst. Megan has recorded her own album of songs that will be for sale on the day priced at £5 each and all proceeds will go to Help for Heroes. The charities wristbands will also be on sale.

Paramedic Neil Allen said: “We decided to organise this game as many ex-forces personnel join the emergency services. We all know someone who is serving at the moment somewhere around the world so we hope we raise plenty of money. This seemed like a good way for us to show our support to the armed forces and to give something back to them.

“We want as many people as possible to come down and support the event. It promises to be a good day.”

Tickets are available at £3 each and can be purchased at Dee 106.3 radio station or by contacting the communications office on 0151 261 2534.
