MEMBERS of Chester Youth Club will act as front of house staff during an upcoming charity ball to show their appreciation for the investors who saved their club from difficult times.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Chester will play host to the annual Chester Youth Club charity ball this Saturday, October 15.

Members of the public and valued investors have been invited to the gala night to raise vital funds for the community charity.

Youth coordinator, Linda Eite, said: “The charity ball is a great way to raise awareness of the CYC and to also educate the Chester community on how important the club is to the youngsters who attend.”

Guests on the evening will be treated drinks on arrival and a three-course meal prepared by the hotel’s award winning kitchens and served by members of CYC.

An auction and raffle will take place on the evening offering guests the chance to bid and win a selection of luxury prizes. Entertainment will be provided with live music and a disco.

Linda added: “The achievements of the last year have been phenomenal and the overwhelming support from investors has enabled the club to survive and grow.

“Our approach is working and the club has more members and the programme of activities is broader than ever before. It seems we have the formula just right.

“We have consulted with our young people and the local community and we feel there is still more to do and much to build on.

“A million thanks go out to everyone who has helped support CYC and we look forward to seeing you all at the ball in October.”

Peter Hendry, Operations Manager at the Doubletree by Hilton, Chester says: “As our chosen charity we strive to do the very best for the young adults of Chester Youth Club and will provide the venue space for the charity ball free of charge to assist with the fundraising.

“We look forward to welcoming the friends and family of CYC for a great night of live entertainment and fantastic food all for a brilliant local cause.”

Chester Youth Club is based in Handbridge and has more than 100 children attending each week. The club provides a safe environment for children to socialise and join in on a variety of activities.

Tickets for the CYC charity ball are priced at £35. Log on to www.chesteryouthclub.org.uk for further details on the CYC.
