A GROUP of intrepid explorers are taking an old banger on a 1,450 mile charity trek.
Ian Kendrick, 28, from Ince, Nigel Johnson, 28, from Huxley, Lee Williams, 25, from Blacon and Rob Weatherhead, 30, from Great Sutton and Matt Francis, 28, from Portsmouth are leaving tomorrow (Thursday, August 20) for the Ramshackle Rally from Calais to Valencia.
The aim of the rally is to buy a car for less than £150, decorate it with a theme of your choice and then attempt the journey to Valencia over four days, stopping over in Annecy, San Remo and Perpignan on the way.
Ian said: "Our theme is The Bandwagon, an attempt at a band tour bus!"
