Don't let the sunshine fool you, we've definitely entered a cold snap.

We've had a mild few days but make sure you have your ice scrapers handy, as forecasts indicate that temperatures will plunge below 0°C overnight.

Temperatures could dip to –2°C in Chester.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "After a dry and bright end to the day, we’ll hold onto the clear skies tonight, allowing temperatures to fall away and a widespread frost to develop.

"Light winds will lead to some freezing fog patches forming in places too."
