Police are looking to speak to anyone who may have any information about a robbery which left a 76-year-old woman in hospital.
The woman was walking near to Newton House on Tiverton Close in Chester shortly after midday on Saturday, June 7, when she was approached from behind by someone who used force to take her handbag.
The offender caused her to collapse to the floor leaving her with fractures to her shoulder and hip area, as well as bruising and soreness.
Det Con Neil Doleman, who is investigating the case, said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have information about this awful crime. The victim has been left with severe injuries and we want to ensure that the person responsible is held to account for their actions."
The woman did not get a clear look at her attacker but it is thought they may have been wearing a navy top with yellow piping.
If anyone witnessed the incident, in particular anyone in the area of Bowlesworth Road, they are urged to contact the police on 101 quoting incident 351 of June 7.
