Chester Operatic Society have a busy few weeks ahead having already enjoyed a successful run of events which have proven popular with audiences.

Most recently they have had a sell-out run of Puttin’ on the Glitz at St Mary’s Centre, Chester, which proved so popular that they had a waiting list.

The society are excited to have been invited to perform at the forthcoming Eisteddfod in July.

Following on from the successful The Gondoliers Workshop in 2015, the society are again offering the chance to watch or join in with one of their events.

People are invited to take part in a ‘scratch’ concert performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe.

The musical director, will put singers through their paces during the daytime rehearsal session, in preparation for the evening concert when they will be joined by society member soloists and accompanied by their band.

Whether you’ve sung ‘Iolanthe’ before or not, or just wish to see what Chester Operatic Society is all about everyone is welcome to join the chorus.

Alternatively you can just go along, relax, and enjoy the evening performance with cabaret style seating and refreshments. A bar is also available.
