A Chester-based networking group has raised more than £700 for Claire House Children’s hospice.

ChIMPs, Chester’s Innovative Marketing Professionals, was founded by Blueleaf CEO Adrian Lomas in 2013 and the group meets every two months, over dinner, to share business advice.

Any profits gained are donated to Claire House, a contribution that the group have been making since they began.

Corporate Fundraiser for Claire House Angella Rawsthorne commented: “Claire House Children’s Hospice helps and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. By providing specialist nursing care and emotional support Claire House helps families smile again when life couldn’t get any tougher. I can’t thank Blueleaf enough for their ongoing support of the hospice.”

Adrian Lomas added: “We’re extremely proud to support Claire House. I’m chuffed to bits that we are able to hand over £700, beating last year’s contribution by £100. I know how much the money means to them, and how much they do for the children they support. It’s remarkable. As I’ve said before, I encourage any networking group to consider how a couple of extra pounds per meeting can produce a significant amount of money for charity.”

Claire House is a remarkable charity providing a home-from-home environment and end-of-life care for children and young adults living with life-limiting medical conditions.

The charity cares for children from across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales, West Lancashire and the Isle of Man.
