Motorists face congestion after a multiple vehicle collision on the A55 on the outskirts of Chester.

Cheshire Police said the incident was reported about 4.25pm today (Tuesday, April 15) involving “potentially four vehicles”, on the north-bound carriageway, between Vicars Cross and Hoole, although this was not confirmed. There were no injuries.

Police said “heavy traffic” was building up in the area but the vehicles had now all been moved to the hard shoulder for recovery.
