A motorcyclist who died in a crash on the A41 near Malpas 'lived life to the fullest with great passion'.

Andrew Hunt, 54, of Saughall, was sadly killed when his red/silver Agusta motorbike collided with a Citreon Picasso on Sunday (April 10).

Andrew's family said: “Andrew, was a very creative decking designer and builder.

"He was a rock to those who knew him, living life to the fullest with great passion. He is sadly missed, a great void has opened in many people’s lives.”

Cheshire Police were called to the scene on the A41 between the Broxton roundabout and Hampton Heath at about 12.30pm.

The road remained closed for a period of five hours while collision investigation work was carried out.

No one else was injured in the crash.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information about the incident is urged to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 371 of April 10.
